The Full Website
4-8 Weeks Depending
on my Schedule
THE STARTING LINE (Building the Foundation)
Onboarding: We sign the contract and you send the first payment. I send you a Questionnaire and a Google Drive folder for your photos, logos, and past marketing.
Content: With your Questionnaire answers and notes from our meetings, I create a wireframe of your website to help you visualize it, plus a Content Collection Form for you to fill in your content. If you are truly starting from scratch, I may send brand boards to lock down your style.
I Review: I go through everything and flag anything worth a second look. AI drafts are fine. I read through for AI-isms, and I touch up and size every image for the web.
DESIGN PHASE 1 (The Look and Feel)
Homepage Design: I design your homepage and present it on a video call.
Client Review: You review it on your own and send feedback on fonts, colours, and layout.
Approval: I make edits, you approve the homepage.
DESIGN PHASE 2 (Building the Pages)
Website Development: With the homepage approved, I design and develop the rest of your pages.
Live Edit Session: We meet and go page by page together, making edits as we go. You can also send edits by email.
Approval: I make final edits, you approve the site.
THE FINISH LINE (Launch)
Squarespace Sign-Up: You sign up for the right Squarespace plan and I add you as a contributor.
Launch: I connect your domain, take the site live, and submit your sitemap to Google.
Training: I send custom training videos so you can update the site yourself.
Final Payment: You send the final payment. Your site is live.
Make It a Sprint
Two weeks. That's it.
Same process. Only the Starting Line and the timeline look different.
HOW IT WORKS
THE STARTING LINE(Before the clock starts)
Onboarding: We sign the contract and you send the first payment. I send you a Questionnaire and a Google Drive folder for your photos, logos, and past marketing.
Content Submission: I send you a content intake form covering the usual pages. It gives me the basics: your business, what you offer, who you are targeting, and roughly what you want to say. It does not have to be polished. AI drafts are fine. Send it loose and I will shape it into web copy, or send it fully developed if you already know what you want to say.
Week 1: Content Shaping, Design Phase 1
Week 2: Design Phase 2 and The Finish Line
Design and launch, done in two weeks
βI cannot thank you enough for your guidance, vision and direction bringing my small practice to life!
When I first spoke with Jodi I had an idea of what I wanted to do but not a lot of knowledge about how to get there.Jodi helped fine tune my vision and transformed it into reality. Her expertise and easy communication style made the process seamless! Iβve seen steady growth and received many compliments on the design and how easy to navigate my website is.β

Squarespace Hosting Fees. Most of my clients need a Core Plan, about $392 CAD/year (roughly $276 USD/year). A Core Plan will work for the website described above. Click to see current pricing. I am a Squarespace Circle Member. When I send you your completed site, you will sign up for Squarespace with 20% off your first year.
Domain name. This is usually included in your first year with Squarespace. Domain names can also be purchased at namecheap.com or godaddy.com. If purchased from another vendor, I will point your domain at your site when the site is complete.

A few reasons I build almost everything on Squarespace instead of WordPress.
It's easy to update. You don't need to know code. You don't need to call me every time you want to change a headline or swap a photo. I train you on your site before we launch, and the editor is built for people who aren't developers.
Security is built in. WordPress needs plugins, updates, and backups to stay secure, and that's ongoing maintenance someone has to manage. Squarespace handles hosting, security, and updates on their end. One less thing to worry about.
The pricing is honest. WordPress hosting companies love a cheap first year rate. Then year two hits and the price jumps, sometimes doubles. Squarespace's pricing is what it is from the start. No surprise renewal shock.
No plugin roulette. WordPress sites often run on a stack of plugins that need to play nice together. One update breaks another plugin, and now something's broken on your site. Squarespace is one platform, one system, fewer moving parts to fail.
It still looks custom. People assume Squarespace means templates. It doesn't, not the way I build. Custom code access on the Core plan means I can design something that looks nothing like a template.

The Full Website. A 5-7 page site takes 4-8 weeks depending on my schedule and how quickly you get me content and feedback. This is the standard process, with room to think things through between rounds.
Make It a Sprint. Same 5-7 page site, built in 2 weeks flat. The trade-off is your homework needs to be done before we start. Content locked, no waiting on you mid-project. If you work better with a hard deadline, or just need a site live fast, this is the faster path.
Either way, the more prepared you are going in, the faster we move.

The information you provide us over the phone, in your intake call and the existing marketing materials you upload to your Dropbox will inform the look of your site. The Sprint Websites style is clean, modern, professional & timeless. You can check out our portfolio here.
If youβd like to learn to build a website yourself, so you can make the design decisions, I offer 1 on 1 - 1 day workshops where we help you build your own website using Squarespace, walking through all the steps.
-
Design. If you don't have a logo, I'll create a text-only logo for you for free. With my design experience, even without provided marketing materials, I can come up with a look that suits your new business. Often a brand comes out of the website development process, and I'm happy to share the text-only logo or background images once your site is complete.
If you want a full brand design, I've designed dozens of logos and brands and can put a quote together for you. See my branding work.
Writing. My intake form has hints and tricks to help you write your own content. AI can be helpful too, and I can send you some tips for developing an AI voice for your work. You can also give me bullet-point content and I'll shape it into website copy for an extra cost.

Yes, for sure. If you want to be in charge of your own site, you can certainly make your own updates. I include customized training videos on your website, not websites in general.
If you donβt want to make updates yourself, once you're a client, I can usually squeeze in a quick 5 minute request or question. For larger updates, I'll put together a quote. -
Yes, you can find my graphic design portfolio here.

Both get you a custom 5-7 page Squarespace site. What changes is how the content comes together and how fast.
The Full Website. A bit more client involvement. You see the wireframes in advance and can tailor your own content to them. You spend a bit more time on your content, and I spend a bit more time on strategy.
Make it a Sprint. For clients who already know what they want to say, or who'd rather hand me the Coles Notes and let me write it. Once your content is locked in, two weeks and you're live.
